Johor Motorsport Racing (JMR) Corvette tops the standings at the half-way break in the SRO Asia Series

The # 99 JMR Team Z06 GT3.R Corvette of Prince Jefri Ibrahim (Am) & Ben Green (Pro) leads in points at the conclusion of 3 races in Southeast Asia-capped by their strong performance at the 2.82-mile Chang International circuit in Thailand.  (Which was preceded at the Mandalika circuit in Indonesia and the Sepang circuit in Malaysia).

Ben Green qualified the car on pole for Sunday’s 90-minute race.

Ben and Prince Jefri led flag-to-flag (including pit stops) for 34 laps beating 15 cars; and were closely pursued by the # 89 KRC Team BMW M4 GT3 EVO of CunFan Ruan and Maxime Oosten.

The # 66 Z06 GT3.R Corvette of Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim (Am) & Jordan Love (Pro) was not classified, falling 20 laps in arrears for reasons to be determined.

Prince Jefri & Ben Green finished 2nd in Pro Am in Saturday’s race.

While Prince Abu Bakar and Jordan Love finished 9th in Pro Am.

The # 4 Porsche Origine Motorsport 911 GT3 R (992) of Wei Lu & Bastian Buss won Saturday’s race.

Dancers clad in native garb are fixtures at races in all three Southeast Asian countries that are ruled by monarchs.

Corvette fans could not ask for more as the Southeast Asia tour heads to Japan and the finale on the streets of Beijing.
