# 31 Whelen Team Fox DP is first overall; # 3 & 4 Corvette Racing Team is back in the hunt at Mosport

It was the first win this year by teammates Eric Curran and Dane Cameron after several top 3 finishes.

# 31 Dane Cameron, Whelen Team Fox grabbed the lead and made it stick.   Described as “the move of the race”, Cameron dispatched race leader # 55 Tristan Nunez (Ligier Honda) and # 5 Action Express Joao Barboza (DP Corvette) in turn 1 after exiting the pits about 1/3 thru the 2 hr 45 min race.

Mosport is a roller coaster white knuckle circuit that’s tough on tyres.  The # 10 Wayne Taylor racing crew opted for track position changing only the rears.  The gamble cost them as Barboza took the runner up spot from the badly understeering Ricky Taylor in the closing stages.

The Corvette Racing team is back in the hunt thanks to re-balanced Balance of Performance regulations.

# 3 Antonio Garcia put a Corvette on the GTLM pole for the first time this season. Garcia and Jan Magnussen led GTLM for most of the race but lost out to the # 67 Ford GT of Ryan Briscoe & Michael Westbrook that executed better in the pits. 

Hard charging Tommy Milner vaulted the # 4 Corvette into second as the Corvettes outran the rest of the GTLM field.
