# 10 Wayne Taylor Team DP wins at CoTA Lone Star Le Mans; # 4 Corvette Racing Team carries GTLM IMSA points lead into finale

# 10 Ricky Taylor qualified on pole and won the race at CoTA under sweltering conditions.  After celebrating and faced with buying new cars needed under 2017 rules, Wayne Taylor reportedly flew home economy class seat 28B on Southwest Airlines to save money.

# 31 second place finisher Whelen Team Fox needs to finish ahead of # 5 Action Express for the championship.  Eric Curran expressed confidence he and Dane Cameron can win the Petite Le Mans finale at Road Atlanta.

Despite finishing 5th, the # 4 Corvette Racing Team got a huge break as its closest contender # 67 Ford GT of Ryan Briscoe that qualified on pole dropped out 14 laps shy of the leaders.  Milner and Gavin carry the GTLM IMSA championship points lead into the Petite Le Mans.  

Jan Magnussen finished 3rd in the # 3 Corvette.  # 912 Earl Bamber notched the first GTLM win of the season for the Porsche team which finished 1-2 in class.
