Amy Ruman finishes 4th in Trans Am at Mid-Ohio
When the checkered flag flew, Amy Ruman was there in her # 23 TA McNichols/Valley Automotive Group Corvette.
As in countless occasions, she managed to sneak through when it counted.
Several faster cars fell away due to crashes and mechanical problems.
Matthew Brabham (grand-son of Formula 1 champ Jack Brabham) won flag-to-flag in the # 21 followed by teammate Chris Dyson # 16 TA Gym Weed Mustangs in the 45-lap race that was slowed by caution flags at lap 28 and at the finish.
# 02 Kaylee Bryson Sam Pierce Chevrolet from Broken Arrow OK won the XGT class.
# 0 Austin Hill, her only opponent, a youngster with great promise from nearby Frankfort OH, had a throttle-body problem while a cam-sensor problem forced Bryson into frequent pit stops to get it fixed.
Aaron Quine, a local pro from Wadsworth OH finished 7th in this # 2 TA Dodge Challenger Pancho Weaver chassis.
Aaron qualified but did not start Jim Heck’s # 64 in the SVRA Speed Tour over the weekend.
