# 3 & # 4 C7.R Corvettes again finish 3rd & 4th, this time at Laguna Seca
Still chasing that 100th win, the C7.R Corvettes saw their chances evaporate at Laguna Seca in their next to final outing in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Series.
Starting 6th & 7th on the grid, the teams needed a more aggressive three-stop strategy for a shot to win.
But the advantage of fresher tires and lighter fuel load was lost because the entire race ran under green.
The winner # 66 Ford of Joey Hand and Dirk Mueller switched to a more conservative two-stop strategy.
Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia barely hang on to 2nd in the driver standings heading into the Petit Le Mans finale at Road Atlanta.
Jordan Taylor, 28 joins Pratt & Miller from his dad’s Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac Dpi, replacing Jan Magnussen, 46. Between 2012 and 2017 Taylor served as 3rd driver for endurance races, sharing a win at Le Mans in 2015. A younger American driver with a social media presence plus the hype of the new mid-engine C8.R is aimed to broaden the market.
