# 4, 50 Paul Fix in championship hunt with win at Brainerd

Coming off a victory at NJMP, Paul Fix made it two in a row at Brainerd putting him squarely in contention with 7 more races on the schedule.

Fix charged from 6th to 2nd on lap 2 but pole-sitter # 36 Cliff Ebben Mustang had the race under control to the very end. 

Then on the final lap Ebben’s Mustang began to smoke and slowed down.

# 57 David Pintaric scored another podium followed by # 03 Jim McAleese in 4th.

# 23 Amy Ruman leads in points but a first lap stop to repair power steering damaged by impact with another car placed her 9th at the finish.  

Trackowner Jed Copham making a local appearance turned some competitive laps before retiring with mechanical problems in what appears to be ex Rick Dittman GT1
