# 4 C8.R of Gavin & Milner finishes 2nd in Road Atlanta 6-hour race
The C8.R Corvette # 4 piloted by Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner finished just behind the BMW M8 # 25 of Connor De Phillippi and Bruno Spengler ending an intense 6-hour battle among all six (6) GTLM contenders qualifying within two-tenths (2/10) of a second.

Milner, starting 2nd on the grid, stopped to replace a shredded a tire early in the race that dropped the car 2 miles behind the pack (by almost a lap).
Gavin raced like crazy to catch up, thanks to timely caution flags, shorter pit stops, double driver stints and making a few more laps between fuel stops.
Halfway thru the season, the # 4 Corvette stands second behind the # 3 Corvette in the GTLM Drivers’ Championship; and Chevrolet tops the Manufacturers’ standings.
The C8.R Corvette # 3 piloted by Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor fared worse. Finished 5th, facing track conditions, handling, chassis adjustments and late pit stop to replace a tire gone bad.
They rode a streak of 2 straight wins coming into the race and there’s more to come.
