# 10 Jordan Taylor’s quick move for the DP win at Belle Isle

On a mid-race re-start, Jordan Taylor slid past pole sitter # 5 Joao Barboza on the outside and held on to win the IMSA Chevrolet Sports Car Classic presented by the metro Detroit Cheve Dealers on the bumpy Belle Isle street circuit.

Barboza was momentarily slowed by 2 GTD cars he needed to dispatch in a hurry.

Earlier in the race Marc Goosens spun into the tire barrier putting the # 90 DP out of contention.  Per Goosen’s account, he made slight contact passing a GTD car that unknowingly caused the rear wing to come adrift.  The sudden loss of downforce caught Goosens unaware.

The incident also caught up Eric Curran shown here earlier, putting the # 31 Whelen out of contention.

Results compiled by Wayne Ellwood

Drivers Jordan & Ricky Taylor of the # 10 and Marc Goosens & Ryan Dalziel of the # 90 flew off to France for testing at Le Mans.  They rejoin their USCR teams for the 6 Hrs of the Glen on Jun 30-Jul 3.
