# 23 Amy Ruman cruises to win as contenders fall out of the Classic Tube 100 at frigid Watkins Glen

# 23 Amy Ruman starting from 3rd took the lead on lap 2 and won handily after the power steering in her closest pursuer # 36 Cliff Ebben’s Mustang failed on lap 21 of the 28 lap race.

# 50 Paul Fix, owner and race sponsor of the Classic Tube 100 qualified on the pole.  With cold track temperatures foremost in mind, Paul gambled that new rubber was the key to winning, even though changing tires meant starting last on the grid.  He quickly made his way up to 6th before engine problems and contact with another car ended his day, averting a showdown at the end.

# 03 Jim McAleese finished 2nd.

# 57 David Pintaric finished 3rd, his best ever result ahead of # 59 Simon Gregg 4th & # 7 Claudio Burtin 5th.

# 38 Preston Calvert piloted an SCCA Club Racing GT2 Corvette in the TA3 class, prepped by Phoenix Performance and notched a credible 4th (16th overall) in his first Trans Am race.

# 22 Mel Shaw also a newcomer this year in TA3 was penalized for an infraction (specifics being researched) and put on probation after completing just 2 laps.

# 75 Chas Wicht and # 2 Henry Gilbert made the long haul from Florida worthwhile by finishing 8th & 10th respectively.
