Tyre strategy propels Callaway # 1 of Daniel Keilwitz & Andreas Wirth to victory!
Sunday’s race started under rain but the sky was expected to clear in a matter of time. Having qualified back in 17th, the team had nothing to lose by starting on slicks. As the track dried, the bet paid off on lap 17 when the # 1 Corvette ZO6R-GT3 took the lead. Defending champ ADAC-GT Masters champ Keilwitz notched his 12th win, the most of any driver in the series so far.
The Callaway # 18 of Toni Seiler and Jeronen Bleekemolen won the Gentlemen’s class.
Saturday’s win was the first for the team RWT # 13 Corvette driven by David Jahn and Sven Barth.
