Amy Ruman and Lou Gigliotti set back at Road America in Trans Am and SGT
A broken transmission wiped out # 23 Amy Ruman on the very first lap. Disappointing her and Corvette fans with hopes riding on her success. She is the only Corvette racer on the full tour and is still sharp behind the wheel at age 46.
Fan hopes also ride along with # 28 Lou Gigliotti, a legendary constructor and driver back for 2020 in the Trans Am SGT class. A lost tire ended his chances on lap 12 while running 2nd in class.
Veteran Richard Grant # 30 completed all 25 laps but was not up to pace finishing 7th overall.
Newcomer Matthew Butson # 24 displayed speed for a top 5 finish but completed only 16 laps in his ride in a Corvette from Tony Ave’s stable.
Aaron Pierce # 26 and Larry Bailey # 02 representing Pierce Chevrolet in SGT respectively were out on lap 4 and lap 20 for 7th and 4th in class.
Chris Dyson # 20 beat # 98 Ernie Francis Jr for the overall win.
