Corvettes # 36 Edward Sevadjian, # 46 Jody O’Donnell, # 33 Mike Donohue 1-2-3 at HSR Mitty at Road Atlanta
In a repeat of last year, at the end of the day when all was said and done, Corvettes took the top 3 spots in the group 5 race for big bore production sports cars.
Edward Sevadjian qualified first and won in Jim Kitzmiller’s 1969 big block Corvette. Car built and prepped by Edward, his dad Alan and crew at Duntov Motors.
Like at last year’s HSR Mitty, a trio of top Corvettes beat the onslaught of Porsches, Mustangs, Camaros, BMWs and Jags among the 40 entries in Group 5.
Other notables were # 6 Brad Hoyt, # 19 Ray Evernham and # 37 Clair Schwendemann.

Also # 59 Brit Bernie Chodosh and # 73 Harry Dinwidie.
Earlier # 98 Scott Borchetta crashed the wall and did not start.
Dave Roberts, the only Corvette in Group 2, finished 4th in his ex Jim Swan 1957 Corvette against a huge field.
