Larbre Corvette outlasted in LM GTE Am in 6 hour race at CoTA
# 50 Team Larbre Corvette finished 7th and last in the LM GTE Am class completing 157 laps vs 159 for the winner # 72 Ferrari F458 Italia. Another Ferrari and 2-car teams from Porsche & Aston Martin also finished ahead. Per team account, they started 6th because they got the pressure set-up wrong for the hard tire compound they chose for quaifying. They climbed to 2nd in class before tire wear dropped them back. A stop to fix a seatbelt issue and a tap by the # 7 Audi prototype proved too much to overcome.
In 2016 the Larbre team could be moving up their World Endurance Challenge Series C7.R to LM GTE Pro in a venture with Wayne Taylor racing. The tie-up could also bring sponsorship from Minolta that sells its products worldwide.
