A better outcome was expected this year.   Fans want to know the logic of the BOP and how it is applied to each team.  Similar complaints in 2014 reportedly cost the IMSA executive in charge of BOP his job.

With 80% of the schedule completed it baffles the mind how the GTLM Corvette Racing Team prevailed at the triple crown of endurance racing (Daytona, Sebring and Le Mans) yet has struggled for podium finishes since early May.  There was even talk that restrictions were placed on the Corvette fueling rig.

Where parity is advertised in the name of close competition, it seems that closer attention and better execution are needed for the good of sports car racing.  The NFL has figured it out so why not IMSA?
