2015 was BG’s first year under a 3 year contract at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Friday Judging for various awards moved inside to garages which came in handy when the rain fell.
Displays, judging and awards are Bloomington Gold mainstays while the venue for this long-revered show has changed yet another time in the last 5 years.
Attendees visited the IMS Museum that houses Duntov’s legendary Corvette SS since 1957. It is a destination in itself.
There was lots of track driving and an autocross. Vendor sales reportedly rebounded from last year’s event at the University of Illinois campus. There were areas for car sales but auctions might be a thing of the past.
The organizers hope to smooth out the agenda for next year including track entry for which attendees had to endure long waits we are told.
