Ex Pratt & Miller C7.R makes WEC debut at Silverstone

Team Larbre # 50 C7.R 002 made its debut in the World Endurance Challenge series 6 hour race at Silverstone UK.  It finished last ( 7h) in class, 26th overall.   This C7.R Corvette race car, chassis 002 was acquired from Pratt & Miller in early March and quickly modified to WEC GTLM Am specs.   The car was re-built after sustaining damage from a rare off-course incident during practice at VIR in late August 2014 in the hands of Jan Magnussen.

Team Larbre is a respected world-wide sports car racing specialist based at the Val de Vienne circuit in France.  The team, founded 25 years ago by Jack Leconte, has prepped and raced a variety of marques including Viper, Saleen and Porsche.  Their single Corvette entry will compete in the full 8 eight race schedule against 6 others in the GTLM Am class.  They consist of 2 Ferraris (F458), 2 Porsches (911 RSR) and 2 Aston Martins (Vantage V8).  Larbre drivers are veterans Gianluca RODA, 56 (I), Paolo RUBERTI, 40 (I) and Kristian POULSEN, 40 (D).

The team enjoys a close working relationship with Pratt & Miller from whom they bought two C6.R Corvettes in 2011 which they ran in the WEC Series.  Pratt & Miller will be entering C7.R 001 and 003 in the GTLM Pro class when the WEC visits Le Mans and CoTA.  We will follow it all.
