CA dealership Dana Chevrolet owned by Peyton Cramer ordered this L88 and entered it at the 1967 Le Mans 24 hour race.  The drivers were standouts Dick Guldstrand and Bob Bondurant also from CA.  Since 1960 a Corvette had not been raced at Le Mans.  The stuff of legend, this car captured the fancy of the French and was very down the long Mulsanne straight.  Unfortunately the engine blew up with several hours to go.  Car restored,  now owned by high profile collector Harry Yeaggy.  More details:    http://registryofcorvetteracecars.com/ee/index.php/site/view_cars/650
